State Water Project Nomenclature

Project Nomenclature

The nomenclature linked at the right (from Water Resources Engineering Memorandum No. 21i "Project Nomenclature" April 9, 1997) lists "Official " and "Working-Level" titles.

Official titles are formal titles, designated by the California Water Commission, the State Legislature, or Congress.

Working-level titles are normally used in DWR reports, bulletins, maps, brochures, and other publications.
